Established in 2005 by Debt Advice Bureau founder and director Stephen Rose, initially to provide a free back room research and analysis service for the voluntary debt advisory service, in:specie™ has expanded from that original focus to provide impartial and independent analysis on personal finance and the British economy.

Helping Users Make Informed Decisions

Having spent well over a decade personally dealing with thousands of people with debt and money problems, it became apparent that the British public is often unaware of the complete economic picture or how their financial security can be effected by it.

Upholding the values of the Debt Advice Bureau, that information should be independent, impartial, free and, most importantly, unsullied by sales-motivated spin, in:specie™ provides users with economic and financial data condensed into easy-to-understand charts and graphs.

The goal. Help users become better informed about the economy, the financial environment and how their finances can be impacted by them.

Building on Accurate Analysis

The success of the two research reports, “Sell Now! Why You Don’t Want to be a Homeowner” and “Mortgage: Millstone or Life Preserver? A Strategy for Surviving Rocketing Inflation and Collapsing House Prices”, published by Debt Advice Bureau October 2006 and January 2007 respectively, as well as a call on the top of the Commercial Property market in December 2006, proved the inherent value in making this kind of impartial analysis freely available.

Now a standalone entity, in:specie™ has grown to be a leading resource for unbiased analysis of the financial and economic environment. Since 2007 a number of proprietary charts and datasets have been developed to expand on the philosophy of helping people make better informed decisions about their finances, current and future.
